Pathie is a walking map for iPhone and Android that starts completely covered. Walking is the only thing that clears it — not driving past, not zooming in, not checking in — so the map a person ends up with is a record of ground they actually covered on foot. It also plans routes, records them with background GPS, keeps a journal of the places and photos along the way, and works with no signal at all, because the database is on the phone rather than in a cloud you have to reach.
